Community Volunteer Days in D.C.
The embodiment of #PayingItForward and #WomenHelpingWomen, EBeauty Community and its volunteers make their signature hashtags come to life as they work to ensure that all women, regardless of economic status, have access to quality wigs during cancer treatment through their online Wig Exchange Program.
EBeauty hosts monthly Volunteer Days so that community members can come together to help prepare the wigs for distribution and learn more about their incredible mission. At a recent Volunteer Day, 30 volunteers came and sorted through more than 1,000 wigs that were received in the EBeauty warehouse. The wigs were categorized by color and length, checked for quality, and prepared for cleaning and refurbishing at Eivind and Hans of Georgetown Salon in Washington, D.C. The wigs will be distributed to women across the country who are undergoing treatment for cancer.
“I volunteer for EBeauty because my family has been touched by cancer several times. It’s fun, easy, and rewarding. My favorite part is getting to try out some of the wigs myself!” -Katie, EBeauty Volunteer
